Brand Principles

With their prior experience for shaping the design language of future technologies, the founders of new industrial design studio, ISO, wanted to build a company that continued to push boundaries. Cast was asked to translate that ambition into a brand framework.

For the brand to succeed, it was imperative that ISO was distinguishable in an increasingly homogenous industrial design landscape. The company name was already suggestive of universality and excellence. We built a set of five brand principles that expanded and complemented these inherent values. Assertion, collaboration and an open-ness to risk-taking – a quality essential to developing unprecedented products – were baked into the ISO brand foundations.   

Graphic legends, Build, have translated these principles into a bold, distinctive departure from the uniformity of ID identities. Bordering on subversive in the context of the competition, the logo is an interchangeable set of instantly recognisable identity components. The website holding page copy delivers a visionary statement of the company’s intent, setting a bold tone in the ID landscape.
